Hollywood Curses Intro 2.0

So one of the first blog post I made on this site was a desire to start series on Hollywood curses. The idea behind it would be to talk about what the curse was, some weird stuff that happened that would suggest a curse, and then conclude whether or not I thought it was actually a curse (Not as a expert, just as a nerd on the internet who like going down rabbit holes). I decided to start with the 27 club since, it was one that I actually thought might be a curse at the time. I made lists, found other articles talking about the 27 club, the logic behind the curse...and never wrote anything (well technically I wrote a bit). But in doing research I feel like my idea of what I wanted this series to be kind of changed. I guess I felt I was being offensive talking about people, their trauma and possible death that not only affected, them, their fans, and their families and say...maybe it was caused by a curse. That's not what someone who knows and loved this person wants to discuss. And yet we are still so fascinated with the idea of curses and conspiracies surrounding specifically celebrity death (hence, Hollywood curses). So this got me thinking...how do these curses get into the zeitgeist of pop culture, what are the events that lead to this idea, is there something weird about this or are certain events things, that just happen in the world that are hard to believe could just happen and maybe even, is the concept of this curse even that bizarre. I want to answer these question...or at least try to, this series is going to take a while but it's something I really want to work on and I'm committed to working on. So here we go...again.
